Deirdre’s Story
Deirdre’s Story is a video resource which aims to develop empathy and support training in trauma-informed practice. It was developed by esc films and the Donegal Domestic Violence working group which includes representatives from: Donegal Domestic Violence Services, An Garda Síochána, Health Service Executive, Donegal Women’s Centre and Donegal Children & Young People’s Services Committee (CYPSC). It tells the story of domestic abuse and reflects on the journey of the main character, Deirdre which has led her to this point in her life.
